Championship Mindset Pt. 3
Coachability
There may be no more of an off putting characteristic in a person at your organization than for someone to not receive coaching or feedback.
Whenever you, or someone you work with or oversee, believe they have nothing else to learn it begins this stagnant decline from the company/organization. This decline often leads to them stepping away or believing they are entitled to more.
Be a life long learner. Be curious with others who have been doing the job you are doing for longer than you. There is always something else to learn.
A few questions to ask yourself:
Who do I want to learn from?
What specifically does that person do that I want to ask questions about?
What are leadership qualities that I need to work on?
Are you asking how you can get better?
Are you asking what the areas are that you can improve and be the best at what you do?
Are you seeking out opportunities to grow and develop?
You want the best mindset to be the best you can possibly be at what you do, or have opportunities in the future? It’s time to start thinking about having a growth mindset, seeking out feedback and then… BE COACHABLE in those areas.
It’s one thing to seek out ways that you can grow, to ask about how you can improve, but if you don’t do anything about it then it’s worthless.
Do not be someone who gets the feedback but fails to be coachable and implement changes and growing!
Be Coachable!
